Monthly Meditation Message: Using The Mind on Our Spiritual Journey
Good morning! Take a deep breath, and validate the still, quiet space within you. Today’s thought is:
“A mind all logic is like a knife, all blade. It makes the hand bleed that uses it. If I only had one rupee, I would buy a flower for my soul.”— Rabindranath Tagore
The mind is amazing. Besides being complex in its workings, it has segments within it that govern movement, survival, and automatic functions like breathing and heartbeat. The left and right brains allow us to have logical as well as creative thinking, and the frontal lobe works with our 6th and 7th chakras projecting the pictures of reality we are creating. The brain allows us to create a common reality that we have agreed upon as spirits with bodies.
Yet as amazing as that brain is, it will just sit there, a piece of inert tissue, without you the spirit, hooked into it, giving it intent and direction. In our current level of evolution, we are healing our mental bodies. We are refining our relationship with the brain so we can use it as a tool to express our spiritual wisdom, versus old patterns and perceptions that no longer serve us. I have read that our foreheads are growing as the frontal lobe gets stronger. So, remember to buy hats with adjustable headbands!
Breaking out of the group agreements of mental consciousness that have been projected for tens of thousands of years from fear and insufficient data is challenging, as you have probably noticed! Patterns in the brain create automatic feed systems of impulses into the body’s glandular systems. The glands secrete the chemicals and hormones that govern feeling. For example, these impulses fed into the hypothalamus gland result in signaling to the body the pervasive feeling or mood it will experience.
Unfortunately, too often that pervasive emotion is anxiety, grief or doubt in ourselves. We see tragic things happening in the news, trigger old childhood pictures or someone threatens us, and the pattern is lit up. Then, everything we see is colored with that fear filter. Fear has run our minds since we created the lie of separation from Source. Some know this as “The Fall”. Regardless of the the story around it, since then, we have destroyed many a civilization and even continents because of it. Minds that don’t know we are all God seem to do things like that!
Jesus arrived on the planet during a time when humanity was so used to adrenal fight-or-flight living that tribes and groups of people would create reasons to fight and be wary of each other. From Tibet, to Europe to the Middle East, Jesus traveled through areas rife with chaos and fighting. People’s minds held the passion for battle and they used the many different names for all the gods as an excuse to blame other people’s gods for whatever happened. They did not know that they themselves created their own reality. They didn’t know they were killing a body, and that the toxic hate and judgment lived on.
Shamans and priests who knew the truth guided the monks and people to maintain their rigorous disciplines of meditation and prostrating. This was necessary to hold a stable vibration within the tremendous political and social upheaval taking place. The Essenes did the same thing in the Middle East to help counteract the fighting and power plays at work between the Romans and warring tribes there. The long hours of meditation and ritual were also needed to help minds attune to the energy of oneness and love because the veil between the physical and metaphysical worlds was extra dense in those times.
In many parts of the planet, priests and shamans guided people to some semblance of structure and mental discipline to help counteract the fear-based chaos, and to maintain the vibration until the Messiah came. In our current time of bringing more peace to the world, we know that the master is within each of us. But the teacher’s in Jesus’ time knew he was coming—a teacher to bring the vibration of love to unite the warring fractions and all of humanity. Jesus anchored the Christ Force grid around the planet, making it easier for people to live from their hearts. He taught that we are all One, and to see the presence of God in everyone, because God lives through each of us.
Jesus taught these lessons mainly in parables to the common folk, to help them see the value of forgiveness, releasing judgment and loving one another. Do unto others as you would have them do unto you. He brought the energetic ability for new pathways and patterns to be built into the brain. This allowed for more of us as spirit to be present in the body, connecting with our Higher Selves, and receiving the information from Source into our physical bodies. The teachers and followers who helped prepare his way knew that having this level of love in our hearts and acting from love towards all would take a long time. It’s about 2,000 years later— it does seem like it’s taking awhile!
Take a deep breath, and know that you were a part of holding space for love to prevail then, and here you are back again, to light the world with passion fueled from your love! Say hello to the amazing array of angels, masters and guides that surround you and maintain a constant stream of loving peacefulness for you to connect into. They hold the vibration of love that passeth all understanding steady for those times when you have been tempted away from love and find yourself fear.
Also, validate your ability to feel emotions because they allow you to feel when you are unbalanced and fearful and not seeing with a mind that sees only love. Those moments when you get to consciously choose love are your treasures, because that is what allows you to evolve.
The mind that is open to the healing of love, is able to use fear as a spiritual teacher. On a survival level, fear lets us know when we may be in physical danger. On a spiritual level, fear is to be walked through and transmuted in order to get our power back. It allows us to focus our intent as conscious creators and take responsibility for what we create, to learn a lesson and grow. Fear allows us the opportunity to use our spiritual tools and welcome the changes that need to occur, versus clinging to that which may be comfortable yet is narrow.
Fear obviously still motivates people to have to have power over others on our planet. But as conscious healers, we are using fear to learn how to love. Fear was once mainly about the scary beast, the warring tribe or the wrath of the weather gods bringing floods and destroying crops. Now fear challenges us to rise above the thought-forms that cause us to be afraid to be ourselves, to speak our truth, to change jobs, or to appear silly, or let other know that you are a healer. These challenges that urge us to grow, and allow our light to shine. You have the option, every second, of releasing fear and allowing the eternal light and beauty of you to be set free.
As you do this, the light of love in your mind becomes stronger, and projects a beacon for the people on the planet who are still barely surviving. Our fellow brothers and sisters who don’t know what they will eat tomorrow, or when the next bomb will drop, or who will disappear in the night at the hands of the enemy. But there are more of us than ever on the planet now, hooked into Source, living from love, holding the vibration of peacefulness to usher in the birth of the master within each of us.
The United States, despite it’s flaws, is one of the areas on Earth where large groups of powerful, spiritual beings have reincarnated with the purpose of healing fear and holding space for the new age of humanity. In some models, the United States is the crown chakra of the planet. To take the planet to a new level of crown chakra certainty, which is that of trust in divinity, oneness and love for all, we had to come together in a land with amazing power points.
We had to agree to congregate in a land where we would be able to live comfortable enough lives that we could afford the luxury of meditation, caring for our bodies, and explore the esoteric world of intent, synchronicity, life purpose and more. There are certainly countries on the planet with far older, amazing civilizations. But the other side is that the energy of those places can keep consciousness in place, as opposed to the inspiring intention that drove the creation of this country. We are, after all, in the New Age. The old civilizations created a base, but there is no blueprint for where we are going at this time. Minds have to be ready to go where they have never been before.
It’s not better here in the US, it just serves it’s purpose in the greater picture. Perhaps you reincarnated here to work with your spiritual community from many past lifetimes, in a way that allows you to enjoy the culmination of lots of hard work, and support others in your group and be supported in return. Breathe, and send a hello to the friends, family and acquaintances you have had throughout your lifetime who have supported your path. Especially the ones you have found annoying! They are your best teachers!
As we evolve, the human mind will no longer continue to create dull, uninteresting jobs. Of course that is subjective, so this means that humans will not be spending 8-plus hours of their day doing something that they don’t find inspiring. Imagine spending most of your day living effortlessly from your passion, led from task to task, without the need to stay in a job because if provides the right healthcare, or in a relationship because you are afraid of change. Instead, your are making decisions in the moment that come from an inner direction. You are doing it now, because anything we imagine is possible! This inner direction is guided by your crown chakra certainty of trust in something greater than what your mind can come up with. This is often challenging to cultivate in a society such as ours that is so dependent on the mind and thinking. “The mind all logic is like a knife, all blade. It makes the hand bleed that uses it.”
We are working with the mind, training it to be guided by our truth, versus the programming from society, schools and family. We are learning to make decisions that produce results for the good of all versus the good of the few, even when some around us hate us or we lose some so-called friends along the way.
This means cultivating a love inside that defies most of what we have been taught. We have learned that love comes from outside of ourselves, that it has to be earned and that it can somehow be taken away from us. But as spiritual beings we know that since we are nothing but love, that is not possible! And so, on our spiritual path, we find the thoughts and lies that do not resonate with our truth, release them, and replace them with what we believe to be our truth. Your thoughts create your reality, and our collective thoughts create another reality, and this group creates that reality, and that group creates something different, yet somehow we all get on and things seem to work out or not! It’s pretty amazing when looked at from that perspective!
I read an article in the New York Times that said that scientists are figuring out that one of the results of the “Google Age” is that people can look up illnesses immediately on the internet, read the symptoms, believe they have the illness and create it. So a person may have an upset stomach due to a food allergy, and it may have some symptoms close to stomach cancer, and the person will create the cancer. Of course they can’t ultimately prove this, because it’s unprovable. The missing link in science is the presence of our spirit, which is busy creating and creating and creating nonstop. And with minds that are not fine-tuned into love yet and still create from fear, the outcome ranges from amazing to pretty scary.
But I found the article fun, because if they really can see that people can create illness from suggestion, it’s only a step to realize that our minds create it all! Scientists are also looking at the possibility of our ability to create from holographic projections from the mind. I saw that in an article in Discovery Magazine a year ago. Pretty exciting to see that those big minds are finally catching up with us!
What we know as healers is that the mind is creating our reality. Learn to trust your inner truth and awareness above all others. Ask questions and discover what helps guide you back to a peaceful place within. Hear, see and visualize solutions that support your truth. Fear can challenge our truth, and make it stronger. Fear can also turn us away from our truth and make us smaller. Use your psychic abilities to discern.
We have been offered so many tools and levels of support to help us move forward in love this time around. Each moment of our life has been designed by ourselves to mirror just what we want to learn in that moment. As we do that and remember that we are the source of our experience, there is no one to blame, no excuses.
The Dalai Lama said, “Compassion and love constitute non-violence in action. They are the source of all spiritual qualities: forgiveness, tolerance, all the virtues. They give meaning to our activities, and make them constructive. There is nothing amazing about being rich or highly educated: only when the individual has a warm heart do these attributes become worthwhile.”
Remember that each flower you plant in your mind restores you to your rightful place. Every fearful thought delays your return to love and perfect peace. That is healing, that is our path. Nothing outside of yourself has achieved that, no technique has ever brought it about, although it may have given you a temporary energy field to help you anchor into the love. Only love heals. Only you can embrace that truth and beam it out to the world. Only you are creating the beauty of heaven here on Earth. Liberation from anything you deem disturbing is only a thought away. And you have the power to decide.
When you know that your physical body does not exist, that it is a projection from your mind, and when you let the projection be created from the powerful, loving, unlimited perfection and splendor that you are, the body becomes one thing—a temporary vehicle from which to extend the love and beauty of God to all. It is a divine, temporary communication device.
A mind healed in this way, looking with the eyes of love, looks upon the world as healed, whole and beautiful. It sees an innocent world, even when it is generated from minds that are held in ignorance. A healed mind sees that the cause of that ignorance is found in the mind, not in the things you hate and want to attack. That is why nothing that is not of love can be bombed or killed out of existence. It continues to exist in a thought form. The energy fueling the thought must be purified and healed.
Only a mind nurtured with love, full of forgiveness and tolerance will allow these misperceptions to be healed. That is your mind, that master mind, healing the world, one loving thought at a time. If you have nothing good to see or say in a situation, perhaps silence and stillness are the best you can do, and so be it. Find stillness, seek your compassion and love within. Allow love to be the the intent and fruit of your action. Take your one rupee and buy a flower for your soul.
